Herefordshireshire County Flag

Herefordshireshire is a county bordered by Powys, Monmouthshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. The county town of Hereford is famous for the cathedral with  a chained library. The county is mainly agricultural with many cider and beef producers in the area. 

The Herefordshire county flag was registered with the Flag Institute on 2nd November 2019 after a public competition. The winning design by Jason Saber has a dark red backgound representing the red soil of the region. A large white bull head at the top of the flag comes from the famous breed of the area. Three wavy lines at the bottom of the flag represents the River Wye that flows through the county.

All county flags are digitally printed onto 115 g knitted polyester which conforms to British MOD specification. Flags are double stitched hem all around and a reinforced hem on the hanging side. Supplied with metal eyelets fixing ready to fly. 

Poly Mesh Herefordshireshire County Flag:

Poly-mesh Herefordshireshire County flag is also made from knitted polyester 115 gsm (grams square metre) and  has very small holes across the entire flag  which allows the air to flow through the flag to  flutter rather than whip  in the high winds so they last longer in exposed areas.

Poly Mesh flags are ideal for coastal areas, church towers, roof tops,  harbours and exposed areas.

Anti-fray:

Anti-Fray is optional.  Anti-fray is sewn onto the opposite end of the reinforced flag fixing side  and the mesh takes the wear out of the flag allowing flags to last longer with more durability.
